Hello SmartGirls!

Happy October everyone!

This month is so beautiful in Ann Arbor, where the University of Michigan and SmartGirl.org are located. The leaves are changing into all kinds of beautiful colors! Do you have any photos of the changing season? Send them in to ideas@smartgirl.org so we can post them on SmartGirl!

Keep on reading for the new content we added in October:

Express Yourself

There have been some changes to SmartGirl Authors, so you may notice that the pages are now loading a lot faster. Also, we have another brand new author! Check it out:

SmartGirl Authors:
Waves Too Strong, by SmartGirl Author Missy
Ellie's whole life has just turned upside down... or it might as well have. A hurricane blew her home to bits, and now she's homeless. Her family moves into a shelter in a wealthy town the hurricane missed. No one in the town seems to like having refugees walking in their streets. But Ellie thinks that Cheston's different from everyone else. Can she make her parents see the same thing?

Take a Stand: The SoapBox
Do you have lots of opinions? We hope you do! Having opinions shows that you are thinking about things, and that's important (duh!). This month's topic: Best Friends.

Game: Dream Dictionary
We added some new words to our Dream Dictionary. Did we leave anything out? Let us know what you want to see in our dream dictionary by sending us an email to--you guessed it--ideas@smartgirl.org.

Survey Center
We have some brand new surveys up! Here's a list of all the surveys currently running:

Are you Eco-Friendly? -- Coming Soon!

Finding Your Dream Job

Sibling vs. Sibling

The Good Fight to Eat Right

In between surveys, you can take our Quick Poll. We change that question and the multiple choice answers every week.

Reviews

We've switched things up in SmartGirl Suggests. We now feature BIGGER pictures (hurray!) and we're working on building up our archives. So now when we review something, you can still check up on the review months later. This is great because we often show you sneak peeks at advance copies. Now you can come back and leave comments when you have a chance to check it out yourself!

Once again, thanks for all your kind words in the Chatterbox. Your support means a lot to me, and I love hearing how much you love SmartGirl! As always, your suggestions and feedback is important to us. Let us know what you love and what you want to see done differently.

We hope you have a wonderful month. Take care!

Sincerely,
