This month's Super SmartGirl award goes Denae for submitting two beautiful poems!

Denae sent us two poems this month, called "Hearts in her Notebook" and "Ashamed." One was about the way a special someone can make a SmartGirl feel, passing them at school, hearts aflutter. The other was about the pain caring for someone special can cause when things are over, and you know you need to move on. Both poems were interesting for their cadence, or the rhythm, of the verses. They also involved the twin aspects of love - a look at the upside and downside. This is something that many SmartGirls can understand so great job to Denae for her expressive and sensitive poetry!
