One day during summer I was at cheerleading and my coach said we needed to work harder, so I had to run 5 miles and my legs felt like poo, but when I got home, I weighed myself and I lost 20 pounds. I was sick, but I am not anymore. That day I learned that exercise is very good for you. Now I run every day, and that is my story.

I absolutely love exercising on the Wii at my house. There's so much I can do. And it's really helping me stay in shape. But I know that the Wii is no substitute for going outside. When I'm outside, I love breathing in the fresh air. Running, walking, jump-roping, football, and basketball are some of my favorite things to do.

Exercise is really important. I stay fit by swimming. I love swimming and I also do it competitively. For comp. swimming I have to get up at 4:30 in the morning all weekdays. This isnt something that I enjoy (most peeps probably wouldnt)- I wake up in the afternoon on weekends so you can imagine. But the incentive is greater. I love the feeling when I win an event in swimming. It's my first year in highschool so this is also my first chance to get a varsity letter which I do look forward to. My two biggest things are that I stay fit even though I pig out like crazy, and I want to be in the army so I imagine that being physically fit is important. When I am not exercising I love to surf the web and hang out with friends after all exercising is always better when you have someone to do it with.

I do ballet, jazz, and modern dance. I absolutely love dancing. It is a great way of staying in shape, and you get to have fun at the same time. I first began dancing as a way to relax, and I also loved the organization and perfection of ballet. I made very close friends as I worked up the ladder so exercising became even more fun. It is a tiring but enjoyable activity. I do wish to do gymnastics and ice skating. Sounds fun!

Since the number one disease in the world is heart-related, I exercise for that and I don't want to end up similar to my family's health history which is diabetes and high blood pressure. It's recommanded to exercise about five days out of the week and for 30 minutes. I'm training to run in the 2011 half-marathon (13 miles. The full marthon is 26 miles) at Disneyland and within places of Anaheim like the Angel's baseball stadium and the Honda Center, but my all time favorite way to stay in shape is dancing in ballet.

I wanted to get back to dancing ballet when I was 19 years old when I saw an anime called "Princess Tutu." The show was about a duck that wanted to save a sad boy from feeling miserable and to put the smile back on his face. So she fell in love with him. Then there was this man, a writer, that gave her a necklace to turn into a human girl; therefore. it gives the duck the opperunity to help the male because she later learns that the boy is actually a prince from a book he was able to get out of when he was battling an evil raven. As a result, when the prince left the pages he lost all of his emotions and what the emotions are about. For example, there was an episode when the girl and the prince were in a resturant, in a dark forest, they encountered a woman, the chief and owner, that wanted to fatten them. The girl was automacially scared when she saw a grave in the chief's backyard but the prince didn't feel scared as the girl was. The anime is base on a ballet the creators made and have fallen in love with ballet.

There is another reason why I love to dance in ballet when I saw the ballet called "Giselle" on youtube. My ballet teacher told the class to be able to play Giselle the girl must have a lot stamina, years of training in the art of ballet, and have a gentle caring heart. Since I seem to fit well into having stamaina into dancing and have the heart, of what my teacher calls me a generous heart, of the Giselle I figued I can build the years into ballet and maybe one day play Giselle in a ballet. It's the challenge and the passion for ballet the reason why I love ballet besides it's literually the phrase "sweat, bruises, and blood!"

Yes, I like excercise. My favourite way to stay in shape is karate because not only does it keep you fit but makes you strong and helps you in you self-defence. It also makes you mentally stronger as well. It's a good sport for people who are unfit because you slowly advance unlike in other sports, if you're unfit then you can't play the game well. I have to do karate but i enjoy it as well. If you don't excercise, don't worry, you don't have to start vigorously training straight away. Just do something relaxing like walking or jogging. They're are a lot of sports I'd love to do like bball, tennis but they take so much hard work to be pro, but all sports do. If you want idols, look at people like Kathy Freeman and stuff. They've all started out young then advanced. You don't have to be serious though. Every kid excercises because of school but if you don't in your spare time it might be because of homework and stuff.
